The landmark Richmond Olympic Oval was constructed for the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. This state of the art venue is very accessible, and has been transformed from the Speed Skating Oval for the Olympics, to multi activity/sports facility overlooking the Fraser River and the very popular dyke path connecting Garry Point Park in Steveston to Terra Nova, and along the middle arm of the Fraser. Inside the Oval is a fitness centre on the third floor with viewing to the huge second floor, which features ice rinks, play courts, running track, with a few large rooms for activities, parties or meetings. The Italian Picnic is a Coffee/Snack bar also on the second level. All levels are accessible by elevators from the ground floor reception area. The Oval is only minutes from hotels, shopping centres, and the centre of Richmond, and is very close to transit. All major entrances are very accessible, with sidewalks and ramp allowing full viewing of the outside of the building and surrounding area. Tours of the facility are available. Contact the friendly staff who will be glad to answer your questions or help in any way they can.
